Because Guns aren’t naturally bad. They’re an interesting mechanical device that can be used for hunting, and sport. On a side note they can also be used for defense, but the gun itself is not necessarily bad.
The only way to truly ensure a government doesn’t creep into a tyranny is for all people to have the means to fight back against a tyrannical government.

As an Englishman, I’d say were dumb as fuck for not making guns legal. I mean, what the fuck are you gonna do if someone breaks into your home carrying a shotgun?
