I usually give the quick, upward head-nod just because it’s second nature at this point. Where I came from growing up that’s what everyone did. It was weird to find people that didn’t recognize that motion as a “hello,” or acknowledgement of them.

If as a greeting, yes. But unprompted, no, because I don’t want any interaction.
