This applies to burgers, but in general folks are afraid on salt. Meats need to be adequately salted and with the right kind of salt. Ditch the fine table salt and grab some kosher salt. Kosher salt has bigger granules and is actually less “salty” than table salt. You have more control and it helps to create a crust on the meat. There are two major kosher salt brands: Diamond and Mortons. Diamond is the best salt brand to buy because of the way the salt crystals form, pyramids rather than pebbles. Diamond is super hard to find in the supermarket but Morton is usually always available. Morton is a great brand and its what I personally use.
