Not buying that house. I used to rent a small second floor apartment in a little house. The first floor had their own entrance and their own apartment too. It was near a university; and was an all around a solid investment. Eventually the landlord decided to sell it for $100k. It was in like 2007 and it was also clear the there is a massive property bubble. My father and I thought about buying it. It would have been easy to rent it out, and at that time I was paying rent for it. Anyway, being fairly conservative with investments we decided to pass. In retrospective the property crash mostly passed Canada and prices continued to grow.
