Police, I have family members who are cops and they’ve warned me not to get too chummy with police, especially if they need to talk to you about “something”. Anything you say or do will be used against you, after all. They can take your words and twist them to fit their narrative.

If you’re a character in a procedural murder mystery, you’re introduced (by name) before the halfway point, and you’re connected to the case but no one seems to be treating you as a suspect, there’s a solid 90% chance that you’re the killer. This rises to 95% if you’re played by an actor I recognise, and 99% if you’re played by an actor I can name.
