Who was your most famous ancestor? [serious]

My great grandfather’s brother was John f Kennedy’s nuclear advisor.

For me, it was Sir Edwin Sandy. 1561-1629. My last name is nothing like his now, but everyone in my family claims we are related. My family member, Sandy, is even named after him.

As far as I know, Edwin was one of the first colonizers of Jamestown, Virginia. If you didn’t know, Jamestown was one of the first colonies to be settled in the new world. It allowed Europeans to get a foothold in the new world and expand their horizons. I know that he was the treasurer of the colony and would have been a big deal in the colony for the time.
