lol Americans conjuring some fantastical scenario to engineer some way to have free healthcare. In the uk it just comes out of our taxes.
I have no clue how society would react. I am guessing it would be a mixed bag of things ranging from I do not care to WTF and oh HELL no.
Me personally, I would fall into the I do not give a rats patootie because I avoid Dr’s unless I am unconscious and have no say about seeing one, and once I am dead, my body is no longer of use to me and I do not care what happens to it.
Economically speaking, it is really bad idea to putting in charge of your healthcare someone who have incentives to see you dead (they want your corpse after all).
As an American, sadly I would say we would have people completely against it, and even have some claiming that if you are too sick or injured they would just let you die or kill you. I mean we have people who think that if you register as an organ doner, EMTs and hospitals will let you die of something easily treatable so that they can harvest your organs.
It would be cheaper that way. My family wouldn’t have to pay thousands of dollars to see me lay in a box and get covered in dirt.
