What celebrity have you met that was surprisingly nice/rude?

Matt Damon, really nice guy

Mark Ruffalo was a sweetheart, Jesse Eisenberg was very arrogant, Javier Bardem was cool! (Really short though which surprised me cause he always seems so intimidating and overbearing in movies-great actor)

Mike vallely was super fucking cool. Met him outside a skate comp I couldn’t pay for to get into, dude paid my fucking entrance fee, signed my board and gave me a deck. Deff unexpected from the most violent skateboarder ever lol

My old man went to high school with Brett Cullen – the guy who plays Thomas Wayne in Joker. My dad always talks about him in a positive way that one would about an old high school friend.

But when my mom died in 2017, he came back to Texas for the funeral and did nothing but support my dad, drink beer on the porch and shoot the shit.

Totally cool guy who has been busting his ass in Hollywood since the 80s on mostly bit parts. Glad to see him in bigger things.

I’ve met some interesting people over the years.

Anthony Bourdain: Back when he was shooting the second season of A Cooks Tour, he came to my hometown to film a segment about a local pitmaster (Ed Mitchell). His hotel was across the parking lot from my old job (movie theater), and he came in after filming. It was a slow night, he came a little before the movie started, shot the shit and talked about barbecue and some of the places he’s filmed. Really fun to talk to.

Kevin Smith: Attended an Evening With event in ’04, he was on the stage for five hours with a somewhat hostle, very strange audience. He still stood around the back of the building for an hour and a half, smoking cigarettes and hanging out with folks.

Joey Fatone: Literally just bumped into the guy. Very polite and apologetic.

Margot Kidder: Stayed in the same hotel for a convention, talked for a few moments early that morning before the show. Very personable, made sure to wave whenever I passed by her table.

Val Kilmer: He was performing theater in New York back in ’07, randomly decided to get a table at a convention. No one in line because it wasn’t advertised, guy made his own sign for his table. We talked for 20 minutes, turns out he was just curious about the experience. Really pleasant to talk to.
