I’m a parent I would rather starve to death on the side of the road then ask my kids for money. They would give it to me gladly but I would never ask.
Seems like there’s a bigger issue than a couple of thousand dollars. Private lenders whatever that actually means, etc.
You said she raised the two of you. Is it a major behavioural change from before? Have you considered the possibility that it might be a neurological issue?
