Instagram was getting too cringe
It’s the best example so far on how communities can organize themselves online without becoming toxic. The ones that actually become toxic are corrected by the rest of the community.
It’s a controlled anarchy.
Anonymity
The whoring for attention is completely different. Its not “pls like my photo and say good things about me”, its “pls read my comment and give karma to a random stranger for something interesting I wrote”
People on here actually talk to me sometimes.
