Does anyone else’s gut drops in real life when jumping off high places in any game?

Bentornati ad un’altra fantastica edizione delle domande di cultura generale!

Questa volta abbiamo cercato: Does anyone else’s gut drops in real life when jumping off high places in any game?

Don't know for sure if I'm being crazy, but when I play games like Assassin's Creed and I jump from a really high place, I can feel my gut dropping like I'm actually falling in real life.

Is it normal?

Ed ecco le risposte:

Yeah. Video games are meant to simulate minor versions of the same feelings you’d have in real life. If you’re particularly scared of heights or simply very zoned into a game that would be increased. It’s just like saying “why am I scared during horror games? They’re not real monsters”I myself am particularly afraid of deep ocean and the creatures in it. I’ll get the fuckin chills diving into dark water in a game.

This happens to me a lot. Mostly in Assassins Creed games or racing games with big jumps.

Yes, and my feet go all tingly.

Have had vertigo as well, it’s a spacial thing.

Sometimes. I’m not that scared of heights in real life (aside from freeclimbing videos), but for some reason that makes my stomach drop.

Yes! But it only happens with certain games… For example, when I’m playing WOW i always feel that, no exception. But when I’m playing Mirror’s Edge, I don’t. I don’t know why that would be!
