Can you eat instant noodles after expiration date?

That stuff is good for another couple of years.

I live by the rule “if it doesn’t smell or look bad, it’s fine to eat”.

‘Best by’ or ‘enjoy by’ or ‘sell by’ dates are used by food manufacturers to communicate to the grocery stores how long a product is guaranteed to maintain an optimum level of quality. It is not meant to be used as an ‘expiration date’ or to indicate safety of a food.

Plus, I assume you’re cooking it. Most food-borne illnesses are not a concern when all of the ingredients are cooked.

I made the mistake of eating 1 year-expired ramen, it was one of the worst things I’ve ever eaten. It tasted like dust & cardboard. I was puking my guts out within an hour. I can no longer eat ramen without experiences flashbacks to that moment.
